Junior Achievement Armenia

Junior Achievement Armenia’s (JAA) mission is to empower young Armenians with the skills and knowledge to compete and succeed in tomorrow’s world. JAA has been implementing economics programs and has introduced civic and human rights education. JAA has trained over 3200 teachers in Armenia. JAA teaches young Armenians how the free enterprise system operates, the role of business in the global marketplace, the hands-on fundamentals of running a business, partnering between public and private enterprise, and the basics of democracy-building, including human rights, civic duty, and social responsibility. JAA is an affiliate of Junior Achievement Worldwide (www.ja.org), which has member nations in over 180 countries around the globe.

JAA has contextualized and translated Aflatoun materials for children aged 13/14 years old and the guide for teachers. Children use social and financial enterprises where they raise funds for peers with specific needs or for their school. Junior Achievement is looking forward to expanding this programme with the necessary support. JAA has two regional master trainers of Aflatoun teaching methodology.
