The Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is today a classic university with a distinct research profile and the leading contemporary academic and educational hub of Ukraine. The University of Kyiv has a long tradition of achievement and success both in teaching and in research. It is the only national university in Ukraine with a special status, which is funded by a separate line in the state budget of Ukraine.

The Department of Insurance, Banking and Risk Management works on improving financial literacy for pupils in grades 9-11 and students. The department has conducted a number of activities for pupils in grades 9-11 (including a lecture on financial literacy “Financiers’ Guild”, “Just About Finance”) and for university students (including “Insurance Tale”, Brain-ring with finance, Management duels, Case Championship “Innovative Product in the Financial Services Market”). It hosts the “finEDUCATION” student-teacher movement, the main goal of which is to improve the level of financial literacy among young people in Ukraine. With the aim of joining Afaltoun network, it aims to get aquainted with the Aflayouth curriculum and spread the knowledge across their univeristy as well as high school students they work with.
