ChildFund Brasil is an INGO that works on social development with base on their social experience on programme monitoring, and social projects that mobilize people for transforming the lives of others. Children, adolescents and youth, families and communities in social risk are supported in order to be fully equipped citizens. ChildFund works in rural and urban areas of 4 states of Brazil.
The programme has as aim to erradicate Child Labour, in a region where this is a reality for children and adolescents. The activities are being implemented in non-formal education settings by social educators. The public sector is also involved in the several municipalities where the programme is being implemented. The start of the program was supported by the telefonica foundation. There was an expansion of this programme to other regions in Brazil where Child Fund has local partners. All the programmes reach out a total of 86 Aflatoun and Aflateen clubs formed across the country.
