Michelle Tjeenk Willink

Michelle is American and studied English and Spanish from the University of Arkansas. She taught one year in Germany and then moved to Boston to become an English language teacher. While working in Boston she completed her Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, and a few years later, moved to New York to take the Director of Teen Programs position at a language school, coordinating language camps with cultural programming. Three years later, she is here in Amsterdam and at Aflatoun!

At Aflatoun, she really enjoys the variety and scope of the projects.  There are continually new requests from every corner of the globe and for diverse learner groups. There is always something new to learn and everyone at Aflatoun is really enthusiastic about the work they are doing.
