Partner of the Week: Halley Movement Mauritius

Halley Movement is a coalition of charitable organisations working for the welfare of children and families in Mauritius and in the Indian Ocean and Southern African regions. It was founded in 1989 and works in partnership with the private sector, governmental institutions and other international and national organisations.

The Aflatoun programme comes as a direct pedagogical support to the following themes in the BETA curriculum: Communication, Life Planning and Orientation. Aflatoun also directly benefited BETA in building the teachers and facilitators capacities to use Child Social and Financial Education as well mastering active learning methodologies. With its expertise in delivering programmes protection and psychosocial programmes through the new technologies, Halley Movement is one of the active Aflatoun partner organisations in using the online educational platforms and other online support Aflatoun International provides. This usage is also contributing to the learning outcomes in the BETA programme.
