Partner of the Week: Association pour la Défense des Enfants du Niger (ADENI)

Posted in Partner of The Week on May 27, 2020

ADENI is an organisation based in Niamey, Niger. It works to improve the quality of the education system through multiple activities such as raising awareness around children’s rights and improving the national system of education and pedagogical methodologies used.

ADENI also works to improve school attendance and literacy rates in Niger – working to combat some of the things that keep students out of schools such as child labour, juvenile prostitution, HIV / AIDS, juvenile delinquency and begging. Each year they reach more than 90. 000 children and young people in the country.

Our partnership

ADENI has been successfully implementing the Aflatot and Aflateen+ programmes. What they like best about the Aflatoun methodology is that it is “participatory and uses games to teach”.

“The partnership with Aflatoun International has enabled us to contribute effectively to improving the quality of education through the introduction of social and financial education in schools with its learner-centred methodology. We appreciate the technical assistance Aflatoun International provides”, a member of their staff shared with us.
