Programmes Intern/ Anglophone Africa Region
Aflatoun’s programmes and projects have increased over the last few years and the region has received a lot of attention from stakeholders including donors; thus the need to identify an intern who can support the division to ensure optimal support to Aflatoun International’s regional implementing partners.
In liaison with the Anglophone Africa Programme Manager the Intern will undertake the following:
Country profiles: Review and update the existing countries’ profiles with special focus to education reforms and national strategies on financial literacy in the region: Country context, emerging opportunities and challenges.
Expected outcome: Development of a robust assessment tool to identify priority countries in the region.
Support recruitment of new partners: Desk research and consultation with relevant internal and external stakeholders to identify potential partner organizations.
Expected outcome: Leveraging Aflatoun’s Salesforce to develop a pipeline of potential partners.
Support planning of network events: Desk research and consultation with relevant internal and external stakeholders to identify additional stakeholders – beyond Aflatoun’s existing network – to invite to events in the region. Support with content and logistics.
Expected outcome: Content-rich and well attended events.
Support Partner Relationship Management: Working closely with Anglophone Africa Programme Manager to ensure excellent service delivery to partners.
Expected outcome: Targeted partner support based on identified needs/opportunities, updated internal system, established contacts with new partners.
